Is this legal advice?
No. aftrmi is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We help you organize your estate information and generate draft documents. We strongly recommend having any documents reviewed by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
Who can see my data?
Only you, unless you choose to share it. You can invite members to your plan and control exactly what they see with Owner, Editor, and Viewer permissions.
Are the wills aftrmi generates legally valid?
aftrmi generates documents based on general legal templates, but validity depends on your state's laws and proper execution (signing, witnesses, notarization). Always have an attorney review your documents before relying on them.
How do I sign my documents?
Today you print your draft, sign it in front of the witnesses your state requires, scan the signed pages, and upload them back here. Fully digital execution, including remote online notarization, is coming in a future release.
What happens if aftrmi shuts down?
Your data is yours. You can export everything at any time. If we ever wind down the service, we will give at least 90 days notice and provide full data export capabilities.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Vault items (passwords, recovery codes) are encrypted client-side, so we store only encrypted blobs that we cannot read.
How much does aftrmi cost?
aftrmi is free during our private beta. When paid plans launch, early adopters will receive preferential pricing. You will never be charged without your explicit consent.
